The Group Meets...

Yesterday, 24th October the GHG team met between 7-10 pm, at the Bal Chitrawani Building (off the Law College Road and foothills of Hunuman Tekdi). Almost all the members - Founders, Advisers, Committee members and  regular members were present - a total count of around 20 people. The meeting started off with introductions of members along with  brief appreciation of the work they have been doing, which was mentioned by Sanjay and other senior members in the group. It was amazing to see the dedication, commitment, sacrifices and of course their achievements - the greening of the two hills viz. Hunuman Tekdi and Chatushrungi Hill over last 10 years. Almost every senior member was quite vocal and extremely generous of appreciating the efforts and achievements by other colleagues in the group. This was quite contrary to what we normally see in corporates and other groups that I have seen in society. It was clear evidence of the passion and teaming that existed within the group.
The meeting was witnessed by Hon. Vikas Mathkari  who guided the members of what needs to happen next - basically be able to articulate the efforts and results from the group to the society and stakeholders. It was very important to lay down the vision and proposals/plans to be able to convince the corporation and other stakeholders about new undertakings and projects. It was agreed to have an agency to help with a small video of the work along with a vision/mission/plan document be prepared by end Nov, such that it could be proposed to corporation during the upcoming meetings (December)
Sanjay Athavale and Purandare presented the expenses and took stock of what is the work in progress and what new work is to be undertaken in coming months.
Finally the meeting concluded with everyone having Bhel and Hot Masala Milk  (boiled on the shegadi - courtesy Sanjay)..
