Myself and Sanjay had meetings with a couple of dignitaries over last couple of weeks -
We met Mr. Vishwanath Karad of MIT college and expressed the intent to get the college involvement in the activities on the Hill. He referred to similar effort that he started a few years ago and the fact that the mission was aborted by the forest dept. and a few other environment conscious bodies - with which he was quite upset. However it was heartening to know that he has offered to help to Green Hills Group to drive this going forward. He suggested that the we make a plan and carry out the work methodically with clear vision and goal in mind. This was an eye-opener to me - I personally had never thought of putting a "plan" in place for the work that was being carried out at the hilltop.
We also met Mr. Nilesh Nikam who is the NCP leader / corporator to appraise him of the work that the group is doing and seek his support to get the funds from the corporation (that were announced and provisioned an year ago). He suggested us to submit a letter seeking these funds and take this matter forward.
