Normally the monsoons end around Dusserra (was on Snday 16th Oct this year) and even during the 10 days of Navratri (before Dusserra, it is normally only light showers that dampen the spirit of the "Garba and Dandiya" enthusiasts. Otherwise normally, in Pune we witness very bright and hot climate in October.
However it is an unusual phenomenon that we have observed this year. For last 4 days, since Dusserra (Sunday) we have been having heavy showers every evening and it is spells of cloudy weather and bright hot sunlight during the day. This has proven to be a bliss for the saplings that we have planted this year. However as a result, the rest of the work of grass cutting laying of drips and placing water tanks has come to a stand still, however have no regrets as far as we get the spells of showers daily.
